About JustAnother EQ

JustAnother EQ is a 24-band equalizer for mixing and mastering. It supports dynamic EQ, spectral dynamics, separate Transient and Body processing, per-band saturation and Pitch Tracking. The graph displays band controls, EQ curves and a spectrum analyzer.

Key features

• Parametric EQ. Up to 24 bands in 9 filter shapes, with continuous slopes from 6 to 96 dB/oct depending on the shape, plus Brickwall on the cuts. Each band works on Stereo, Left, Right, Mid or Side. See Working with bands.
• Dynamic EQ. Bells, shelves and tilts can cut or boost when the level goes over the threshold. Detection can follow the track itself or an external sidechain. See Dynamic EQ.
• Spectral dynamics. Process individual frequencies inside a band to cut or boost resonances that stand out from their neighbours. See Spectral dynamics.
• Transient / Body split. Point any band at the Transient layer (attack) or the Body layer (sustain, ring, tone), for example to brighten the attack of a snare while leaving its ring alone. See Transient / Body split.
• Per-band saturation. Drive up to three Bell, Low Shelf or High Shelf bands into one of four styles (Warm, Tape, Soft, Crush), with automatic level matching and optional HQ oversampling. See Per-band saturation.
• Pitch Tracking. A band can follow the pitch of a monophonic source in real time and sit on a chosen harmonic, optionally snapped to a musical scale. See Pitch Tracking.
• Zero Latency or Linear Phase. Zero-latency filters, or linear-phase processing with five Quality steps. See Processing modes.
• Listening tools. Band Solo and Hold to Listen isolate a band’s frequency range. Band Delta and Global Delta play the processing difference. Channel Listen isolates Mid, Side, Left or Right. See Solo, Hold to Listen and Delta.

Formats and system requirements

JustAnother EQ is optimized for sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz. We recommend working within that range.
